A birthday wish for a brother works best in two lines: a joke only he would get, then one honest sentence at the end. "Happy birthday to my first opponent and my permanent alibi" lands because he can hear you saying it. Skip the forwarded quotes. The wish he screenshots is the one with a real detail in it: the window you both broke, the hoodie he never returned, the night he took the scolding so you didn’t have to. Line one is a joke only he would get, pulled from something that actually happened between you. Line two is the honest one, said fast and only once. Pick the detail he’d be embarrassed you still remember, then say the true thing right after it, before either of you can get weird about it. Four built that way:
